Here are my favorite restaurants in the Seattle Metro Area
Here is our favorite Mexican Restaurant:
Mexico, Pacific Place Center 600 Pine Street, Level 4, Seattle, WA 98101 · (206) 405-3400 www.eatatmexico.com/
WOW! You Must try eating at Mexico!!! With out a doubt our favorite Mexican restaurant. We just love it! The wait staff is incredible, never had a bad experience. The deserts are wonderful.. The Ahi Tuna Fajita's are where its at! I don't know what it is that makes them so much better then the rest, they just are. Tell the Manager, Carl, that Elena Neely sent you. Their own website sums it up best : "Our Mexican restaurant is different from the typical Mexican restaurant. It is the latest in design and architecture offering vivid colors, creative fixtures and art. Our bold and inventive flavors are a collaboration of new thinking and experienced culinary professionals producing rich flavors that more than satisfy the desires of every guest. We love what we do and our success lays on our ability to establish relationships, deliver our menu consistently, engage every guest, and run our business with practical wisdom that allows us to grow and prosper."
West Seattle
Mexican in West Seattle
Cactus - 2820 Alki Avenue SW, Seattle, 98116 [map it] $14-$25
A fairly upscale modern Restaurant. Great Food The Alki beach location opened in August of 2006. A truly special location featuring large, roll-up garage doors and a wonderful patio to maximize the unparalleled views of the Olympic Mountains and amazing sunsets over the Puget Sound. On colder days, the indoor fireplace and fun atmosphere prove to be the perfect compliment to your dinner or festive occasion.
Puerto Vallarta - 4727 California Ave SW, Seattle 98116
Family-owned Mexican restaurant known for fresh-made, authentic menu items. Very reasonably priced menu, with large portions. Very family friendly.
Italian:
Pegasus Pizza - 4449 California Ave SW Seattle 98116 (206) 726 1717,
Awesome Pizza! Light thick crust, lots of vegetables and meat. Wonderful Greek Salad also. Very popular so in the summer there is a wait to get in the door. But hey, your on the beach, go for a walk. Family friendly, crayons for the kids.
Spiro's - 3401 California Ave. S.W. Seattle, WA (206) 932-5100
Another phenomenal West Seattle Pizzeria. The neighborhood Italian eatery. Besides the pizza try the Manicotti ($7.95), or baked Lasagna ($7.95). Very child friendly place, with a collection of children's books to keep everybody entertained. Great service and great food. We love this place!
La Rustica - 4100 Beach Dr. S.W. Seattle, WA 98116 (206) 932-3020
On the quiet side of Alki Beach, on Beach Drive lies a superb authentic Italian restaurant, most people do not even know it exists. But that is O. K. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights after 6pm there is generally a line outside. The decor is old world charm, and the service is always excellent. Great choice of wines and beer. La Rustica is a perfect 10 in our book. Great place for a quiet date night with your Spouse, or new interest. |

California Avenue Restaurants, West Seattle.
Elliott Bay Brewery Pub - 4720 California Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98116 (206) 932-8695 www.elliottbaybrewing.com
If you love micro beers this is the place for you. Wonderful large selection of micro brews in this West Seattle icon. Food is much better than the standard "bar food." The fish taco's are my personal favorite. Fish and chips is always a hit. They have Greek Gyro's, that everybody loves. Kids are welcome.
Abbondanza Pizzeria - 6503 California Ave S.W. Seattle, WA 98136 (206) 935-8993
Abbondanza translates to abundance in English, and that's just what this stylish Italian restaurant on Seattle's West Side offers. Not just in the food it offers, but in the warm and friendly atmosphere this second-generation family owned business extends. The menu is original, and the restaurant offers daily specials as well as micro beers and fine wines on tap.
Alki Beach
Bamboo Bar and Grill - 2806 Alki Ave S.W., Seattle, WA 98116 (206) 937-3023
Located in West Seattle, on the West end of Alki Beach, Bamboo Bar & Grill serves American and Caribbean food. The eatery's atmosphere is a casual one with dim lights and music. It's a lot of fun for everyone. Bamboo B&G has a bar on site for patrons to relax at. For entertainment, patrons can enjoy watching TV.
Sunfish and Spuds the tale of two Fish and Chips hangouts....Alki Beach. Both have a cult like following and are equally loved by their patrons.
Sunfish - seems to have fresher fish with less grease. The brilliantly ingenious fish kabobs are perfect summer lunch favorite. Order "To Go" and eat it on the Beach
Spuds - is more like "Skippers," with a crispier fish and wonderful tarter sauce.

Did somebody say Breakfast? In West Seattle!
Alki Cafe - the weekend favorite for those in the Alki Beach part of West Seattle. Put your name on the list and go for a walk.
Celtic Swell, next door to the Alki Cafe, just as good. Celtic Swell is an Irish Pub, for lunch and dinner try the Shepard's Pie with Guinness, or the Bangers and Mash with a Pilsner. That is living large! Spent New Years Eve, 2005 into 06 there. A night to remember! Live band playing sing along songs of all genres.
Elliot Bay Marina
Maggie Bluff's Grill (206) 283-8322 Looking for a romantic casual, different restaurant, try Maggie's, at the Elliot Bay Marina, sit outside gaze at the sailboats in the foreground, Downtown Seattle and a view of Mt Rainer in the back ground. Food is a step or two above the average restaurant. Great fish Tacos, Salads and burgers.
Palisades 206-283-8322 www.palisaderestaurant.com You may first notice the rustic timbers and salt water ponds, but you'll leave remembering the exquisite dining experience that Palisade inspires. Our extensive menu is both reassuring and unexpected. Our commitment to you is unsurpassed. And our view is simply breathtaking. On a cool fall or spring day their Irish coffee is the best we've ever had.
Downtown Seattle
The Cheese Cake Factory. My husband lives on Fish Tacos. They have the best! Great Food. Great Atmosphere. Great Prices. Large Servings. Don't let the line fool you, the bar almost always has seats.

Another great down town Seattle restaurant, in the up scale Pacific Place. Gordon Biersch brews their own award winning Pilsners and Ales. The food at Gordon Biersch is first-rate. Service always comes with a smile.
